UDL Guideline 8.3 - Foster collaboration and community
You were probably already familiar with twitter, but you may have not be aware of Twitter's potential utility in education.  For example, students in a given class may benefit from thoughtful discussion of class topics.  Twitter can be used in this situation to construct a community that fosters collaboration among students.  These communities can be set up for collaboration within one classroom, multiple class sections, school wide, district wide, etc.
