UDL Guideline 1.3 Offer alternatives for visual information
ColorSay is an excellent app for offering alternatives for visual information because it is a color scanner that can be used for individuals with any visual deficiencies to engage in classroom curriculum. By making colors audible (when you point the devices camera to your surroundings) it provides auditory cues for visual information, and gives students alternatives to information that would not be privy to them without this type of device.
General Critique:
Students could use this app at school or at home to engage with the curriculum, especially in classes like Art and Science where the ability to view and interpret colors is essential to instruction. The apps clear instructions and easy to follow navigation menus, make it a welcomed addition to any classroom.
