UDL Guideline 8.4 Increase mastery-oriented feedback. This app provides students with feedback while they are tracing the letters, matching sounds and letters, and selecting objects that match letters and beginning letter sounds. Therefore, it provides feedback that is frequent, timely, and specific.
General Critique
While other apps provide tracing and letter sounds, this particular app gently corrects the student and encourages additional effort on the part of the child. There is no real autonomy with this app as the letter sequences are predetermined in a logical method, but there is appropriate feedback encouraging the development of phonemic awareness.
